The Phantom

When these blighted sound files first appeared in my inbox out of nowhere, I was perplexed as how to respond. I usually delete any email from random addresses that I get, but for some reason I was compelled to listen. What I then heard was 3 tracks of lo-fi gothic imp rock, packed to the gills with digital synthesizers. It isn't something I would usually rush to put out on this "label" of mine, but again I felt a compulsion unlike any I have felt before. I responded to the email and begged them to allow me to produce these tracks on cassette. The following message that I received chilled me to my core. The Phantom had informed me that I had been incomprehensibly cursed; both the production of the cassettes and the publication of the previous pasted screed from The Phantom itself was already in motion, with me powerless in any attempt to prevent it. I knew in my soul that this was true, which was proven about three weeks later when I received a test tape for PURE IMP. I had no choice but to approve the pressings.
